    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents.

    Our location in Westford, MA currently has an opportunity for an EHS Manager.   The EHS Manager will implement, oversee, and adapt policies and programs to improve the organization's environmental, health and safety performance and objectives, ensure it complies with current and applicable future regulations and standards, and protect its reputation.

    THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • As the EHS Subject Matter Expert, you will be able to work independently and ensure organization complies with relevant regulations and internal standards/policies
    • Manage environmental staff including coach, promote professional development, and set/evaluate performance goals
    • Develop and implement site EHS Strategic Plan that supports Division/Corporate Plan
    • Able to balance business needs with EHS requirements
    • Drive EHS performance, reduce site Risk Profile, and provide EHS support to other functional areas
    • Communicate EHS performance to Site Leadership
    • Prepare for and coordinate internal audits and regulatory inspections
    • Identify options for special EHS projects and manage/execute in a timely manner and within budget
    • Prepare/coordinate reports for internal and external regulatory submissions
    • Ensure facility meets Division EHS targets and objectives
    • Develop EHS training programs
    • Maintain relationships with the community, environmental groups, and stakeholders impacted by the EHS performance of the organization
    • Stay abreast of proposed EHS regulations, assess impact of draft proposals on the business, and ensure facility readiness to comply with promulgated laws. Benchmark with peer companies
    • Develop and meet EHS Department budget

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

    Required

    • Bachelors Degree (± 16 years)in Safety, Health, Environmental Science, Technical or a related discipline.

    Experience/Background

    • Five to twelve years’ experience in environmental, health and safety is required.
    • A minimum of two years supervisory experience is required.
    • Must possess: sound judgment and problem-solving skill, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal and consulting skills, good organizational and computer skills, consistent customer orientation and a multi-disciplinary function.
    • Responsible for initiation, prioritization and assignment of EHS projects within the facility.
    • Responsible for the overall EHS performance of the facility.
    • Coordinates the investigation of serious accidents.
    • Accountable for internal and external audits and inspections.
    • Accountable for the facility EHS plan, site EHS procedure accuracy, effectiveness and implementation.

    The base pay for this position is

    $99,300.00 – $198,700.00

    In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
