HCT seeks an experienced nursing professional to serve as the Interim Manager, Emergency Department for a 140+ bed hospital in California. This is an opportunity for an experienced ED leader to provide additional leadership support within a busy Emergency Department while working collaboratively with the existing ED leadership team.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide experienced nursing leadership and operational support for the Emergency Department.
- Partner closely with the ER Director and existing ED Manager to support day-to-day departmental operations.
- Collaborate with the Night Coordinator and nursing leadership to promote consistent operations across shifts.
- Support staffing, scheduling, performance management, and staff accountability as needed.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration among ED staff, providers, patients, and other hospital departments.
- Help strengthen relationships between the Emergency Department and the patients and communities it serves.
- Foster a patient-centered culture focused on service, teamwork, professionalism, and respectful communication.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- License: Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 12 years of recent, relevant nursing/clinical leadership experience required, preferably with significant Emergency Department leadership experience.
- Computer Skills: Must be computer savvy with strong proficiency using EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to lead and collaborate within an established hospital environment.
