Overview:
Responsible for leading the department to implement cost-effective and state-of-the-art learning technologies for the nursing staff at WakeMed Health & Hospitals in accordance with accepted nursing education principles and guidelines. Using needs assessments, strategic plan, regulatory requirements, and nursing involvement, this position sets priorities and develops a plan to deliver nursing education to meet the nursing goals of the system. Responsibilities include: nursing education administration and coordination, nursing continuing education, American Heart Association Programming, Nursing Orientation process, student computer programs training, and specific nursing leadership programs.National Certification in Nursing Required
