Performs professional and supervisory work assisting the Public Affairs Director in the development, implementation, evaluation, and oversight of digital marketing and communication programs, which includes establishing Countywide branding, website, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and social media standards. Creates, plans, and manages a variety of programs and personnel, including digital marketing, publications, special projects, employee education, and citizen response. Supervises staff that provides support to County departments, Administration, and the Board of County Commissioners. Work involves considerable exercise of independent initiative and judgment. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Public Affairs Director, and is reviewed through conferences, reports, and achievement of results obtained.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess one of the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing and Management, or related field; minimum of five (5) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity with major emphasis in planning, organizing, and implementing digital marketing and communications programs working with electronic and printed media,
OR
- An Associate's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing and Management, or related field OR an unrelated Bachelor's Degree; minimum of seven (7) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity with major emphasis in planning, organizing, and implementing digital marketing and communications programs working with electronic and printed media,
OR
- An unrelated Associate's Degree; minimum of eight (8) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity with major emphasis in planning, organizing, and implementing digital marketing and communications programs working with electronic and printed media,
OR
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of nine (9) years of experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity with major emphasis in planning, organizing, and implementing digital marketing and communications programs working with electronic and printed media.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include:
- Print and digital marketing experience, and
- Website design and branding experience.
