Comerit is searching for a Manager of Data Engineering and Analytics to lead our client's growingteam of data and analytics engineers. You will be responsible for defining andmanaging a long-term vision and portfolio of initiatives to improve thecustomer experience and business results through creating world-class datainfrastructure and enabling data-driven analytics.This includes establishing standards andoptimizing our data engineering, data flow and data collection for cross functionalteams.
The ideal candidate is an experienced data pipeline builder and datawrangler who enjoys optimizing data systems and building them from the groundup.This candidate also demonstratesskills in working with multiple business areas and can analyze their datarequirements in a harmonious way to optimize both the data landscape as well asthe analytics around it.
TheManager Data Engineering and Analytics will support our client's Enterprise DataArchitect and lead a team of Data Engineers and BI Analysts on data initiativesand will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughoutongoing projects. They must be self-directed and proficient at supporting thedata needs of multiple teams, systems, and products. The right candidate willbe excited by the prospect of optimizing or even re-designing our company’sreporting and analytics infrastructure to support our next generation ofproducts and data initiatives.
This person will:
- Collaborate on thecreation and maintenance of optimal data pipeline architectures
- Identify,design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manualprocesses, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greaterscalability, etc.
- Work with peersto build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation,and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and AWS ‘bigdata’ technologies
- Lead a team to assemble large,complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements
- Build analyticstools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights intocustomer acquisition, operational efficiency, and other key businessperformance metrics
- May also becalled on to perform tasks related to Data Engineering and setting up analyticsenvironment
- Work with stakeholdersincluding the Executive teams to assist with data-related technical issues andsupport their data infrastructure needs
- Keep our client's dataseparated and secure across national boundaries through multiple data centersand AWS regions
- Work with dataand analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Analyze,validate, prioritize, and provide cost estimates for service requests andproject work
- Develop andmaintain an analytics roadmap in conjunction with the overall Data Architectureroadmap
- Work withproject managers to develop project plans and manage to the plans
- Develop andpublish standards that govern the data engineering and analytics domain.
- Establishservice delivery metrics for service requests and project work.
- Perform career management functions for the dataanalytics team including establishing annual goals and development plans,annual reviews, and compensation planning.
Requirements
Experience withAWS S3, Sagemaker, Step Functions and other AWS toolsets
Experience withMicrosoft SQL Server
Experience withBoomi or other IPaaS tools
Experience withExtract, Transform and Load (ETL) methodologies and tools
Experience withPython or R scripting.
Knowledge of SAP and SAP data structurespreferred or similar ERP tools.
Abilityto manage multiple projects
Work with upper management
