Our services include: natural gas gathering, treating, processing, transportation and storage; NGL transportation, fractionation, storage and import and export terminals; crude oil gathering, transportation, storage and terminals; petrochemical and refined products transportation, storage and terminals; and a marine transportation business that operates primarily on the United States inland and Intracoastal Waterway systems. The partnership's assets include approximately 50,000 miles of pipelines; 260 million barrels of storage capacity for NGLs, crude oil, refined products and petrochemicals; and 14 billion cubic feet of natural gas storage capacity.
The Cybersecurity Engineering Manager will work as part of the IT Security & Compliance organization to lead and oversee the implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the organization's cybersecurity engineering capabilities. The ideal candidate will provide leadership over security engineering teams responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining security technologies across infrastructure, applications, cloud, endpoint, and data environments. This person will partner closely with security architecture, IT infrastructure, application development, and risk and compliance teams to ensure security controls are implemented consistently, operate effectively, and align with approved security designs and business priorities. They will also collaborate across the organization to drive operational excellence, improve security tooling effectiveness, and ensure engineering efforts scale with the organization's growth and evolving threat landscape. Qualifications
The successful candidate will meet the following qualifications:
College or technical school degree is preferred.
Relevant cybersecurity or technical certifications are preferred (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GIAC, vendor‑specific security certifications).
Substantial knowledge and experience in the design, implementation, and operation of the following:
Enterprise security engineering and security operations practices
Security tooling and platforms (e.g., SIEM, XDR/EDR, NDR, WAF, cloud security tools)
Security monitoring, detection, and response capabilities
Infrastructure, application, endpoint, and cloud security controls
Extensive background in IT infrastructure and applications, with the ability to lead secure implementation and operationalization of security technologies across both.
Experience working in medium to large‑scale, enterprise environments with complex systems, integrations, and high availability requirements.
8+ years of applicable professional experience that substantially includes the following:
Security engineering or security operations roles supporting enterprise environments
Deployment, operation, and lifecycle management of security technologies
Leading or coordinating security incident response and remediation efforts
3+ years of experience in a leadership capacity, including formal people management or team leadership, workload prioritization, and performance development of security engineers.
Experience managing and integrating multiple security platforms and technologies within a cohesive security ecosystem is preferred.
Experience partnering with security architecture teams to translate architectural designs into operational security controls is preferred.
Strong understanding of change management and operational governance in a production IT environment.
Strong ability to develop and maintain operational documentation, standards, runbooks, and procedures.
Self‑motivated and able to work with limited supervision while leading teams toward measurable outcomes.
Strong project and operational management skills, including the ability to balance strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day operational demands.
Strong organization and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills related to security operations and control effectiveness.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate across IT, security, and business teams.
Ability to work and contribute to a team environment to accomplish overall security engineering and operational objectives.
