Manager Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Events FT or PT Posted On June 17 2026 Hours Full Time Description This role is being offered as either a Full-Time position 35 hours per week or a Part-Time position 28 hours per week JOB SUMMARYThe Manager Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Events is responsible for securingcharitable gifts and sponsorships from corporations while leading the planning andexecution of strategic events that advance The Cooper Unions fundraisingstewardship visibility and community engagement goals.The Manager serves as a frontline fundraiser and event professional who developscorporate relationships supports donor and prospect engagement and implementsfundraising and event strategies designed to strengthen relationships with alumnidonors corporations students faculty and friends of the College. The positionreports to the Senior Director Corporate Partnerships and Strategic Events and worksclosely with various administrative offices academic departments and alumnivolunteers.This position is overtime eligible and regularly requires attendance at occasionalevening and weekend events.This position supports through actions and conduct The Cooper Union mission andvision and helps build and maintain a productive departmental culture and strongperformance outcomes. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESStrategic Events• Lead planning and execution of assigned strategic institutional events including donorcultivation programs stewardship events corporate engagement activities presidentialevents board events alumni programs and other mission-driven gatherings.• Partner with internal stakeholders to establish event goals target audiences budgetsmessaging and success metrics.• Develop event strategies that increase philanthropic support strengthen constituentrelationships enhance institutional visibility and support revenue generation.• Manage event timelines logistics vendors contracts registration processes productionschedules guest experience and post-event assessment.• Support volunteer donor and corporate committees associated with events andengagement initiatives• Collaborate with Communications and campus partners to ensure events effectivelyadvance institutional priorities and brand standards.Corporate Partnerships and Revenue Generation• Discover cultivate engage solicit and steward corporate funders sponsors and rentalclients capable of making leadership 2500 and major 50000 gifts sponsorshipsor rental commitments securing approximately 400000 in new annual commitments.• Prepare or assist in the preparation of proposals sponsorship packages presentationsbudgets stewardship reports and other fundraising materials.• Maintain accurate records and activity reports and ensure compliance with institutionalpolicies and donor requirements.• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and represent the Collegeprofessionally with internal and external constituents.Other duties as assigned. SKILLSREQUIREMENTS• 3-plus years of marketing sales revenue generating events or fundraising experience• Demonstrated success securing charitable gifts sponsorships earned revenueregistrations or other external support through relationship-building and persuasivecommunication• Experience planning coordinating or supporting events conferences donor programscommunity engagement activities or other constituent-facing initiatives.• Strong time management and organizational skills with sharp attention to detail.• Excellent persuasive writing proofreading and editing skills.• Fluency in Microsoft Word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook.• Comfort in database research activities Tessitura Slate Raisers Edge Tableau etc.• Professional judgment thoughtfulness and discretion.• Experience in higher education nonprofit arts and culture or mission-drivenorganizations preferred.• Appreciation for The Cooper Union mission and ethos.
