Manager-Clinical Nutrition
Job Summary:
Provides management and coordination of daily clinical nutrition operations including inpatient and outpatient nutrition services. This includes developing, planning, implementing and maintaining optimal nutritional care.
Education & Experience
Registered Dietitian as certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and three years of experience. Experience cannot be substituted in lieu of educational requirement.
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED: Valid Dietitian license, registration as certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of food and nutrition. Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and tools. Knowledge of performance management process and associated local, state, federal, and other regulations. Knowledge of federal, state, and JCAHO regulations, standards, protocols, and procedures. Customer service skills. Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management. Ability to ensure compliance with workplace safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees.

Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional handling or working with potentially dangerous equipment, frequent exposure to bio-hazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, occasional working hours significantly beyond regularly scheduled hours, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, frequent bending, occasional lifting and carrying more than 100 pounds, frequent climbing, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, occasional sitting, constant standing, frequent twisting, and constant walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more)
