Arnold Palmer Hospital is currently seeking for Clinical Nutrition Manager who will be supporting both Arnold & Winnie Palmer Hospitals. The Clinical Nutrition Manager is responsible for the appropriate delivery of clinical nutrition services as assigned. 

 

Seeking for someone with some inpatient Pediatric experience and ideally some leadership experience.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions
Leads the department and facilitates collaborative implementation of all department, facility and organizational
action plans to achieve strategic objectives of Orlando Health.
Demonstrates the ability to monitor all nutritional evaluation and treatment within professional standards to ensure
the delivery of quality and cost-effective services within an inpatient or outpatient setting.
Oversees the dietary office at multiple facilities.
Responsible for all aspects of business, including developing, managing operational budgets, monitoring expense
trend to ensure performance standards are met.
Ensures department maintains compliance with all regulatory, legislative, legal, educational and technical issues
related to clinical nutrition practice.
Builds effective relationships with management colleagues and Administration to achieve strategic goals of the
facility and Orlando Health.
Assists with the development of departmental policies and procedures.
Effectively manages the change process.
Manages various personnel functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and disciplinary actions.
Maintains reasonable regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and
other federal, state and local standards
Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.

 

 

Areas of responsibility include:

 

  • Team of 10 Clinical Dietitians including 1-2 Lead Dietitians for Pediatrics, NICU, and Women’s Services at APH and WPH
  • Formula Room Operation: This team has their own Supervisor
  • NICU Milk Room Operation: This team has 2 Supervisors
  • Be the point of contact for Dietetic Internships with affiliated programs
  • Serve on various Nutrition Related Committees such as the Nutrition Support Subcommittee of Pharmaco and Therapeutics Committee and the Corporate Clinical Nutrition Council
  • Serve as a clinical liaison to Food and Nutrition
  • Manage a large Infant and Pediatric Formulary

 

 

Qualifications:

Education/Training
Bachelor’s Degree.
Coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the
Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.


Licensure/Certification
Registration with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
Must maintain licensed Dietitian with State of Florida.

 

Experience
Five (5) years of related experience, to include 2 years of leadership. A Master’s degree in healthcare or business may
substitute for up to two (2) years of the required experience.
