Description

At ProService, we empower employers to succeed in Hawai?i. For more than 30 years, local businesses have trusted us with their payroll, HR, and benefits, and many of them rely just as much on their insurance broker. We're building a referral partnership channel with Hawaii's broker community so those trusted advisors can bring ProService to the clients who need us.

As the Manager of Channel Sales, you'll own this channel end to end. Starting from a referral program and playbook already being proven in our mainland business, you'll adapt it for Hawaii, take it to market personally, and build the system that lets our sales team run it at scale. This is an entrepreneurial build role, not a traditional sales seat. Success means a mapped producer universe in your first 30 days, active referring partners within two quarters, and a channel that becomes one of our key sources of qualified opportunities.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL

  • Map Hawai?i's commercial insurance market at the producer level, then segment, tier, and prioritize producers in Salesforce

  • Open and develop broker relationships in the field, showing how the program benefits each broker's income, workload, and client retention

  • Run account reviews with partners to identify upcoming renewals that fit, and qualify every referred lead before it goes to quoting

  • Route qualified referrals to our Business Development Managers and co-sell early deals when needed

  • Launch a monthly broker event and partner with Marketing and inside sales on broker-facing content and meeting support

  • Train and certify the sales team on the broker motion, and report producer activity, tier progression, and production in the monthly sales operating review

IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This role is in the field from week one. Running a steady cadence of broker meetings, keeping clean Salesforce records for every producer, and handling each referral with care are not optional — they're the job. Partner trust is the asset, and one poorly handled lead can cost a relationship. You'll have a proven program design and support from Legal, Pricing, Marketing, inside sales, and our insurance team for specialist questions.

Hawaii's insurance community is small and relationship-dense, and reputation travels fast. If you measure success in signed agreements rather than active, referring partners, or you need a large support team to get moving, this may not be the right fit. If you want to build something from the ground up and be rewarded for what it produces, this role offers real ownership.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM

You speak the broker's language: agency economics, commission and referral structures, and renewal mechanics from the broker's side of the table. You've built and grown referral partnerships with insurance producers or similar advisors, ideally with existing standing in Hawai?i's insurance or business community, and you've built the operating discipline and enablement that let a partner motion scale beyond one person.

You're probably a fit if:

  • You've carried a book or worked side by side with producers. You sat across from agency principals as a peer, understood how they decide what goes on the shelf, and turned a first meeting into a lasting partnership.

  • You build partners that actually refer. You moved a broker from a first conversation to co-running discovery with their clients, and those clients got better solutions because both of you were at the table.

  • You educate before you quote. When a referred lead came in, you asked why it was a fit before pricing it, and the broker kept sending business because their clients were never pushed into the wrong solution.

  • You earn trust fast in a small market. You owned a missed follow-up with a broker personally and quickly, and that relationship became one of your strongest sources of introductions.

  • You build systems others can run. You trained and certified a sales team on a partner motion, and reps started booking broker meetings on their own while channel results kept growing.
