Manager, Capital Markets Investment Operations
$120K-$135K Base | Hybrid, 4 Days/Week | Boston
A leading private investment firm is seeking a Manager, Capital Markets Investment Operations to support its credit investment platform. This role will lead investment operations across multiple credit strategies and asset classes, with a primary focus on reconciliations, CLOs, structured products, bank loans, bonds, and operational control.
This is a strong opportunity for someone with credit operations management experience who can oversee a global team, manage internal and external relationships, improve workflows and controls, and support complex capital markets activity across a sophisticated investment platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead investment operations across credit strategies and asset classes, including bank loans, bonds, structured products, and CLOs
Oversee daily and monthly reconciliations of cash and positions between internal books/records and trustee statements
Manage relationships with internal teams and external partners, including agent banks, trading counterparties, administrators, custodians, and CLO trustees
Lead break resolution, root cause analysis, data quality reviews, and operational risk remediation
Oversee loan servicing activity, including fundings, paydowns, rollovers, interest rate resets, loan-level data, and corporate actions
Support CLO activity, including trustee reporting, waterfall calculations, warehouse-to-CLO tie-outs, fund launches, closings, and new deal onboarding
Manage and coach internal and external team members while setting priorities, improving workflows, and ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness
Qualifications:
8-10+ years of experience in complex financial services, investment operations, credit operations, or capital markets operations
Prior management experience within credit operations required
Experience with bank loans, CLOs, structured products, bonds, reconciliations, trustees, administrators, and custodians strongly preferred
Familiarity with legal documents, credit agreements, loan servicing activity, corporate actions, and settlement workflows
Experience with Bloomberg and trading or settlement platforms required
Advent Geneva experience preferred
Strong Excel skills, problem-solving ability, attention to detail, ownership, follow-through, and ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across internal teams, external partners, and senior stakeholders
