As a Manager on our Marketing Science team, you will work closely with the marketing science Directors to manage resources, implement process improvements, and provide mentorship within a tight-knit account team consisting of analysts, media planners, and strategists as they work cross-functionally to analyze data and deliver valuable and relevant insights. Through data-driven insights, you will have the opportunity to shape the strategic direction of our client’s marketing strategy.
Responsibilities
Client Management:
Work closely with directors and Strategy team to help drive overall strategy and associated tactics to meet client’s goals
Work closely with the media and investment teams as well as external partners to facilitate and deliver succinct and clear information to the clients
Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day clients, delivering timely and detailed responses
Receive and prioritize deliverables, as well as ad hoc requests to ensure they are executed on time and to client expectations
Effectively present recommendations and ideas as well as merchandise successes through storytelling
Bring new proactive ideas to help meet client goals and grow business
Anticipate client’s needs and proactively design solutions to address them
Team Management:
Effectively manage, train, and develop an analysts
Support directors with day-to-day requests as well as ongoing deliverables by disseminating and delegating appropriately across the team
Educate team on latest trends, best practices, technologies, etc.
Demonstrate appropriate judgment through proper escalation and strong problem-solving skills
Establish yourself as an expert within the Marketing Science discipline amongst the team and extended partners
Identify and propose ways to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
Marketing Science/Analytics:
Display deep-rooted understanding of business concepts and client objectives to identify campaign opportunities
Foster understanding of how to plan, optimize and implement measurement plans and learning agenda;
Demonstrate understanding of third-party tracking platforms and their respective integrations in measurement and attribution
Develop and activate outcomes of data-informed strategy and research
Analyze data, extract knowledge, and story-tell with visual aids to multiple audiences (internal and external), to extract and present the latest and greatest opportunities to move the business forward
Effectively present data-informed strategic and tactical plans to internal and external teams
Knowledge of multiple platform data sources including but not limited to Kenshoo, Facebook Business Manager, Atlas, DCM, etc., to analyze and present data
Continually look for opportunities to optimize the media mix and tactics based on data trends
Requirements
Minimum 4 years of experience in a quantitative, data-driven field
A passion for digital marketing, research, and analytics
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical ideas to multiple audiences both verbally and in writing
Comprehensive knowledge of ad technologies and research techniques
Ability to move beyond descriptive analytics and employ more sophisticated techniques (predictive and prescriptive analytics)
May be required to take on ad hoc assignments, projects, and responsibilities as needed to support business objectives, client needs, and operational requirements.
Knowledge & Technical Skills
These technical skills are listed to give you a general idea of the tools and techniques you will use in this role:
Experience/familiarity with Alteryx, Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau or other analytical software packages
Experience/familiarity with ad-serving and web analytics tools Google DFA, Atlas, Google Analytics, Omniture, etc.
Experience/familiarity with syndicated research sources/tools Gfk, MRI, Simmons, Scarborough, IMS, Nielsen, and comScore
Experience/familiarity with digital ad effectiveness research
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
$50,000 - $95,000
