    Border City Ale House, one of El Paso's premiere sports bars, is looking for a manager.


    The bar manager is responsible for overseeing all bar operations, including staff management, inventory control, menu development, and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with excellent communication skills, extensive beverage knowledge, and a passion for hospitality.


    Key Responsibilities Include:

    Bar Operations & Service

    • Ensure smooth daily operations of the bar, maintaining speed, quality, and consistency.
    • Train bartenders on recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol service laws.
    • Oversee cleanliness, safety, and compliance with health department regulations.

    Staff Leadership

    • Hire, train, schedule, and supervise bar staff.
    • Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative team environment.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and coaching sessions when needed.

    Inventory & Financial Management

    • Manage inventory levels, place orders, and maintain relationships with vendors.
    • Track sales, pour costs, and product usage to ensure profitability.
    • Develop and maintain systems for waste control and inventory accuracy.

    Guest Experience

    • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Ensure service standards are met or exceeded at all times.
    • Promote a welcoming environment and encourage repeat business.

    Qualifications

    • 2–5+ years of bartending experience and 1–3 years in a supervisory or management role is preferred, but not necessary.
    • Strong knowledge of spirits, wine, beer, and mixology.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
    • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TABC certification, ServSafe) will be needed if hired.
    • Availability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
