This role serves as an accounting leader, partnering closely with global cross-functional accounting, finance and business teams. The Manager will support end-to-end process design and execution across receivables and Hardware incentives to ensure scalable, compliant and efficient operations.This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week).**This role is not eligible for Qualcomm immigration sponsorship.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree.6+ years of Accounting, Finance, or related work experience.Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.Key responsibilities:Build and continuously deepen business acumen on Qualcomm's products, key customers and pricing processesPartner directly with pricing teams to review and advise on incentive contracts and deal proposals; drive and present quarterly financial reviews to finance leadershipAct as the accounting subject matter expert for Hardware incentives, ensuring appropriate application of ASC 606 guidance and providing clear recommendations on complex incentive arrangementsOwn and drive quarter-end close processes for the Hardware revenue team, including oversight of journal entry preparation and review, risk identification, and resolution to ensure accurate and timely financial reportingProvide oversight and governance across key revenue processes, including incentive claim processing, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and SOX compliance; ensure controls are effective and scalableManage the accounts receivable function for QCT and emerging businesses, including oversight of billing, collections, credit risk management, and dispute resolution; partner closely with the Hyderabad accounting team to drive execution and accountabilitySynthesize and present DSO trends, customer aging, and risk insights to executive leadership, ensuring proactive identification of issues and clear action plansOwn and enhance the accounts receivable forecasting process, driving improvements in accuracy, predictability, and transparency; partner with Treasury to support cash flow planning and capital allocation decisionsDrive end-to-end process transformation across revenue, billing, and collections by identifying gaps, standardizing processes, and implementing scalable solutions aligned with SOX and regulatory requirementsChampion the use of automation, AI, and advanced analytics to modernize financial operations, improve efficiency, and deliver actionable insights that support business decision-makingA successful candidate will possess the following characteristics:Detail‑oriented with strong analytical skillsDemonstrated ability to work effectively with global and cross-functional teams and influence stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex financial concepts to diverse audiencesStrong time‑management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environmentContinuous improvement mindset and comfortable learning new tools and systemsExperience leveraging AI, automation or advanced analytics tools to enhance accounting processes, reporting or business insightsEnd‑to‑end process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, project management, and problem‑solving skillsSupportive of an inclusive, knowledge‑sharing, team‑focused cultureDemonstrated ability to effectively coach and develop team membersQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related degree6+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience2+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization2+ years in a leadership rolePreferred Qualifications:9+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experienceWorking knowledge of Tableau, Oracle, TM1 and Salesforce Billing is a plusProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteCPA certification or country equivalent with audit experienceCompleted advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = 1 year, Doctorate = 2 years) of work experience.Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer.
