Manage File Transfer Specialist

THE MFT Specialist will be responsible for working with EDI technical teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure data file exchanges are secure and meeting optimal performance requirements, managing configuration of workflows, monitoring and troubleshooting file transmissions, and implementing security protocols. Duties: Build, schedule, and automate file transmissions (incoming and outgoing) working with IBM Sterling and other MFT tools.

Hansen Talent Group is hiring a Manage File Transfer (MFT) Specialist to work with a large enterprise in Columbia, SC. This is an onsite position working with a dynamic environment supporting multiple EDI client environments.

THE MFT Specialist will be responsible for working with EDI technical teams, developers, and stakeholders to ensure data file exchanges are secure and meeting optimal performance requirements, managing configuration of workflows, monitoring and troubleshooting file transmissions, and implementing security protocols. 

Duties:

• Build, schedule, and automate file transmissions (incoming and outgoing) working with IBM Sterling and other MFT tools. Additionally, support tool migrations and MFT modernization efforts.
• Work with clients and technical SME to understand business and functional requirements for file transmissions and formats (x12). 
• Utilize IBM Connect:Direct to support high-volume data transports and support automation of transmission workflows. 
• Implement data encryption and use secure protocols (SFTP, FTPS) to meet safety rules per client requirements for Linux and Windows environments. Collaborate with security teams to align protocols with enterprise frameworks.
• Monitor file transmissions and traffic loads, identify bottlenecks and failures, troubleshooting as needed.
• Develop scripts to optimize workflows 
• Stay current on emerging security threats and evolving best practices in secure file transfer.

Qualifications:

• Experience working with enterprise EDI environments as a MFT Specialist
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows
• x12 transmissions
