Mammography Technician

Location: Jackson, TN 38305

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technician to perform mammogram exams and diagnostic radiographs. The ideal candidate will apply appropriate patient care techniques and recognize patient conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures. This role requires adherence to clinic and departmental policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammogram exams and diagnostic radiographs accurately and efficiently.
• Apply appropriate patient care and recognize patient conditions essential for procedure completion.
• Follow clinic and departmental policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of mammography equipment.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records.

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an AMA-approved program.
• Meets requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• Continuing Education Credit (CEC): 5 units per year.

Experience

• Knowledge of clinic and departmental policies and procedures.

Certifications and Licensure

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
• CPR certification required.
• Mammography certification required.
• Certification from the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners within six months of hire.
