We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform outline preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies Qualifications Graduate of a 24-month Radiology Technology program at an AMA approved school Minimum of 1-3 years previous Mammography Tech experience Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) Valid ARRT (M) certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography Ability to lift 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
