We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. As a Mammographer under the direction of a Radiologist, responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretationPrepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicatedDocument all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on timeMaintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologistCheck the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies Qualifications Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program2-year Associates degree in Radiologic TechnologyVocational/technical educationARRT Mammography Certification: R.T.
