My Pathway to Health is a paid work-based learning opportunity connecting youth 18-24 to pathways in to careers in allied health. In this three-part program, participants explore careers and educational opportunities, engage in hands-on training, learn about professional and personal development, and receive 1:1 mentoring support.
Why: Mentors play a crucial role in personal and professional development for several reasons including but not limited to supporting a mentee's growth, serving as a source of knowledge, helping to set goals, maintaining accountability, offering encouragement, and making connections.
Who: An important part of UNITE-LA's mission is to improve career and post-secondary outcomes for L.A.'s youth and young adults through college access, career pathway, workforce programming and job/internship opportunities.
What to Expect: We will host a volunteer orientation and provide instruction before meeting with participants.
