Major Projects Procurement Manager

Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Major Projects Procurement Manager for an onsite position in Columbus, OH.

• Primary Procurement partner for assigned major generation or transmission capital projects or programs.
• Leads procurement integration across materials, equipment, services, construction, supplier capacity, and contracting activities to support successful project delivery.
• Working through influence across Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction, and Project Controls, the role develops and oversees the integrated procurement plan, anticipates and mitigates risks, aligns procurement activities with project milestones, and provides executive-level visibility into procurement readiness and performance.
• While not responsible for category strategy, supplier relationship ownership, material tracking, or overall project execution, this position coordinates these capabilities into a unified procurement strategy that supports project success.
• Establish clear accountability, decision paths, and escalation processes to resolve procurement issues and risks.
• Communicate procurement readiness, key risks, mitigation plans, and critical decisions to project leadership.
• Serve as the primary procurement liaison and single point of coordination for assigned major projects, partnering closely with Project Managers, Project Directors, and project leadership.
• Develop, maintain, and drive the integrated project procurement plan, ensuring alignment with engineering, construction, commissioning, and project milestones.
• Translate project schedules and business objectives into coordinated procurement, sourcing, contracting, supplier, and material execution plans.
• Represent project material and capacity requirements within Generation and/or Transmission COE portfolio planning process and incorporate prioritization decisions into project execution plans.
• Maintain procurement dashboards and risk registers that provide visibility into milestones, supplier capacity, material status, commercial issues, actions, decisions, and executive reporting.
• Coordinate cross-functional execution across Generation, Transmission COE, Category Management, PPO, Sourcing, Contracts, Engineering, Project Controls, Construction, Logistics, and other stakeholders.
• Partner with Procurement teams to address supplier performance, capacity constraints, category strategies, and commercial considerations.
• Leverage analytics, systems, and continuous improvement practices to enhance sourcing effectiveness, contract visibility, supplier performance, and project outcomes.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 8 years of relevant experience.
• Associate's degree in a related field and 10 years of relevant experience; or
• High School Diploma/GED and 12 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated success leading complex cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contracting, supplier management, supply markets, manufacturing lead times, and delivery assurance.
• Experience supporting large capital, utility, energy, generation, transmission, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering projects.
• Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and executive communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting generation, transmission, utility, energy, EPC, or infrastructure capital projects.
• Knowledge of project controls, critical path scheduling, commissioning, and construction sequencing.
• Experience managing procurement risks on projects exceeding $100M in capital investment.
• PMP, CPSM, CPSD, SCM, or similar professional certification.
• Experience operating in matrixed and portfolio-based organizations.
