About the Role

As a Maintenance Worker on our Maintenance & Operations team, you'll support the repair, installation, and maintenance of municipal wastewater infrastructure-including gravity systems, force mains, and laterals. You'll work alongside experienced crew members to keep lines clear, equipment running, and streets safe.

What You'll Do

  • Equipment care: Grease pumps, motors, and shafts; replace valves; perform wet-well cleaning and light repairs/installs as directed.
  • Tools & operations: Safely operate hand and power tools for debris removal, digging/filling, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Street maintenance: Clean gutters; rake and spread asphalt; patch holes; set forms and assist with concrete pours.
  • Traffic control: Serve as a flagger on utility projects and help set up safe work zones.
  • Customer service: Interact with residents and contractors to provide routine information.

  • Safety focus: Ability to pass required work zone and flagger training tests.
  • Learning mindset: Basic knowledge of pipe repair techniques and sewer system maintenance is a plus but not required-we'll provide training.
  • Tool comfort: Willingness to use hand/power tools and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Driving readiness: May occasionally drive City vehicles if you meet City driving standards.

Why You'll Love Working Here

  • Career growth: Structured Career Progression Plan with clear steps to advance.
