Purpose

This position is responsible for participating in the maintenance of Neighborhood parks.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates lawn maintenance equipment including mowers, hedge trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
• Operates dump truck.
• Plants shrubs and trees.
• Trims hedges and prunes landscape plants.
• Applies mulch to landscape beds.
• Trims and pulls weeds.
• Rakes and blows leaves.
• Applies pesticides and fertilizers.
• Collects and removes litter.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or GED equivalent; six (6) months of related maintenance experience necessary.

Must possess and maintain a valid state drivers license with an acceptable driving history.

Work Location: 16 Interchange Court

Work Hours: Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday

6:15 am - 4:15 pm

Additional Requirements

Background investigation, including supervised drug screen, post offer/pre-employment medical screen; and verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment.

• The work consists of related maintenance duties. Inclement weather and heavy traffic conditions contribute to the complexity of the position.
• The work is typically performed while intermittently sitting, standing, bending, crouching, stooping, or walking. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects, and uses tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.
• The work is performed outdoors. The employee may be exposed to noise, dust, dirt, grease, machinery with moving parts, and cold or inclement weather. The work requires the use of protective devices such as masks, goggles, or gloves
