Works as part of a utility maintenance crew to assist with preventative maintenance activities and participates in
the installation and repair of water, reclaimed water, and wastewater service lines and mains.
Overtime is possible
Performs location and identification of County utility system assets, as necessary.
Flushes, flow tests, collects water samples, and troubleshoots the water system in order to maintain adequate
water quality and pressure in the distribution system.
Performs chlorine residual and pH tests.
Compiles documentation required by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for reporting
maintenance activities for water distribution systems, including the work performed, the equipment used, and
the number of hours to complete the maintenance work and assists with entering this information into the
Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) electronic work order system.
May be required to operate power tools and mobile equipment, including backhoes, vacuum trucks, TV
inspection equipment, portable generators, and pumps required for the installation, repair, and maintenance of
utility systems.
Performs related work as required.
