Department: UF/Brevard County Extension Services Off
Organizational Unit: Agriculture and Extension Service
Position Type: Permanent Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Open Until Filled.
$17.52 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Central Area/Cocoa/UF/IFAS Brevard Extension Office. Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and may include morning hours and weekends as needed. Performs entry level service work maintaining and making simple repairs to County grounds, buildings, and Extension Service facilities.
REQUIREMENTS: No formal training or experience required. Experience in the safe and efficient use of hand and power-operated equipment is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida driver''s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. The applicant will be disqualified from further consideration for the position if a Level 1 criminal background investigation, performed in accordance with Brevard County Administrative Order 5 (AO-5), discloses the applicant has disqualifying convictions (as defined in AO-5). In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster, which may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
