Position: Maintenance Technician - Weekend Shift
Starting Rate: $25.00/hour + $1.00/hour shift premium = $26.00
Hours: Friday - Sunday, 6:00am - 6:30pm
Employees who work all 36 scheduled hours are paid for 40 hours.
Responsible for providing maintenance support by performing standard preventive maintenance procedures and techniques to diagnose, maintain and repair electrical, mechanical and control systems in an automated distribution center and all facility related systems (fire prevention, HVAC, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conducts preventive maintenance on equipment throughout the facility in accordance with the PM schedule and troubleshoots and repairs facilities and equipment which may include conveyance systems, motive equipment, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, intrusion prevention systems, and more
- Performs facility upkeep tasks related to painting, carpentry, drywall repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and troubleshooting not to exceed 600v
- Performs mechanical repairs, welding, and metal fabrication
- Utilizes appropriate and task-specific PPE
- Demonstrates safe working practices in all facets of work
- May train new or less experienced staff members
- Demonstrates a Continuous Improvement mindset through participation in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the company

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance field or equivalent Trade School Certifications. HVAC Certification preferred.
- Two or more years of maintenance employment experience in an automated distribution environment, industrial electronics background, industrial control circuit troubleshooting and repair involving automated conveyor.
- Experience working with Security Systems, Fire Panels and Sprinkler Systems.
- Basic computer skills, including MS Office with the ability to navigate through software, internet, etc.
- Knowledge of CMMS software a plus.
- Must be able to satisfactorily complete powered industrial equipment training and maintain equipment license.
- Must be able to successfully complete OSHA required training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms. Grips battery plug-in connections multiple times per shift to recharge the battery of powered industrial equipment. Walks, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, squats, and or crawls occasionally throughout shift. Occasionally is required to climb up to 2 flights of 10-inch stairs. Employee may operate wrapping machine, pneumatic and banding equipment, manual and powered equipment, manual metric and standard hand tools, and more. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds utilizing 2-person team lift techniques where designated. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to pass vision test and work at heights.
