Summary/Objective
The maintenance technician position is part of a growing team responsible for maintaining a variety of equipment in a state of the art production facility. Typical functions will be preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of PLC based equipment to support the achievement of JLM’s business goals and objectives.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The working environment is primarily indoors in temperatures ranging from ambient to 40 degrees or less. The facility also processes various food allergens such as peanuts, dairy, seafood, soy, milk, and tree nuts.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Position Type/ Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, hours of work and days may vary depending on business needs.
Required Education
1 .High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
2. 4+ years of manufacturing experience: strong PLC, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical skills.
Preferred Education and Experience
1. AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance
2. Background in HVAC is a plus.
