We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician position in Virginia Beach, Virginia!
Qualifications:
- Must have 2 years of commercial building maintenance experience.
- Must have valid Driver’s License- will be traveling back and forth between properties
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing; familiarity with HVAC/roofing processes (major repairs handled by contractors).
- Able to lift at least 75 pounds and move furniture; comfortable working on ladders, rooftops, and in varying weather.
- Computer savvy; able to use ticketing/maintenance software.
- Strong communication, customer service skills, and ability to manage difficult clients professionally.
- Highly trustworthy and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Job Duties entail but are not limited to:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across assigned facilities (six properties / eight buildings).
- Complete preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and perform repairs for electrical and plumbing issues; coordinate major HVAC and roofing repairs with external vendors.
- Conduct general carpentry, painting, drywall, flooring repairs, replace ceiling tiles, lighting, filters, and clear gutters.
- Monitor and manage vendor work; respond to client trouble tickets via ticketing software.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance and safety needs; maintain accurate maintenance logs and work orders.
- Prioritize maintenance requests and travel between assigned locations.
- Demonstrate ownership: proactively address issues (cleaning cobwebs, trash, minor fixes) without direction.
- Be on-call 24/7 for emergencies (fire department responses, after-hours vendor access, etc.).
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday 9am-5pm must be flexible as needed
- On-call availability 24/7 for emergency responses.
Pay/Benefits:
- $60,000–$70,000 annual salary based on experience
- $700/month allowance for gas, vehicle use, and cell phone
