Maintenance Technician

Location: Uvalde

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and custodial duties to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and proper operation of the agency's facilities and grounds. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor building repairs, equipment upkeep, facility inspections, and maintaining a clean and safe environment for staff and visitors.

Requirements Required:

• Requires intermittent sitting, kneeling, bending, walking, climbing, lifting, and standing.
• Ability to lift and/or move 50 to 100 pounds.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications Required:

• Must have reliable transportation to travel to different sites.
• Must possess a current Class C Texas driver's license and proof of liability insurance.
• One year of maintenance, custodial, facilities, or related experience and/or training preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance, repair techniques, and safety practices preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
