Job Summary:
Responsible for performing a wide range of skilled mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks to support manufacturing operations and plant facility needs. This is a hands-on, moderately physical role that requires diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions
- Determine and implement effective repair procedures to prevent recurrence
- Navigate and interpret ladder logic using SLC 500, PLC 5, and ControlLogix systems for troubleshooting
- Modify positions and diagnose faults on ABB robots (Models: M94, M98, M2000, M2600, M6700)
- Install, relocate, and align new and existing manufacturing equipment
- Set up and operate machine shop equipment with moderate accuracy and efficiency
- Perform gas and electric welding tasks as needed
- Complete machine repair records and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Execute preventive and proactive maintenance routines
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or team leader
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance involving Allen Bradley, hydraulics, robotics, and welding
- Proficient in troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLC systems and both electrical and hydraulic schematics
- Experience with ABB robot programming and diagnostics
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical schematics and diagrams
- Strong working knowledge of both gas and electric welding techniques
Education Requirements:
- Completion of technical/vocational training or some college coursework in relevant fields (certification or equivalent)
