Maintenance Technician Troubleshooter

Facilities Management & Planning is responsible for the care and maintenance of over 5.5 million square feet of academic, research, residential, administrative & athletic facilities, on a 432 acre urban campus. Join our team as a Maintenance Technician Troubleshooter!

Performs semi skilled work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and associated equipment/systems. Responds to emergency situations as necessary.

– High School diploma/GED.
- General knowledge/skills of the following: – minor HVAC – minor electrical – minor plumbing – minor carpentry – minor repair of doors/windows, including hardware – painting, including minor wall repair – general building maintenance – mechanical aptitude – respond to various alarms (fire, elevator entrapment, sprinkler, leaks, etc.
– Must possess maturity in judgment, have demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and ability to get along with widely diverse personalities.
– Basic computer skills.
– Minimum of 5 years experience performing work as described herein.
– Individual must have a valid drivers license and be insurable by the University, which includes maintaining a low risk driving record.

While not everyone may possess all of the preferred qualifications, the ideal candidate will bring many of the following:

– Monitor Metasys HVAC control systems.
– Refrigerant recovery certification.
– Trades related certifications/training (documentation required).
