Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our client in Thomasville, NC. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of industrial maintenance experience with skills in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance, machine troubleshooting and repair, industrial equipment installation, and welding. Candidates should be comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment and performing both diagnostic and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.

Shift(s) Available: 7:30am-7:30pm OR 7:30pm-7:30am, 2-2-3 schedule

Pay Range: $28-32+/hr. (pay depends on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and assigned repair tasks on industrial machinery, building systems, and facility equipment.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain manufacturing equipment, workshops, and outdoor areas to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with electrical repairs, PLC troubleshooting, low voltage applications, and other maintenance tasks in compliance with safety codes and best practices.
  • Assist in the installation, adjustment, and upgrades of building systems and industrial equipment.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and equipment replacement data.
  • Promptly report major repair needs or equipment upgrade requirements to management.
  • Respond quickly to maintenance requests, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, or potential issues.
  • Ensure all new installations and repairs comply with safety regulations and building codes.
  • Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Demonstrate strong multi-skill capabilities across mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in the industrial maintenance field.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with pneumatics, hydraulics, gear pumps, motors, and preventative maintenance (PM) procedures.
  • Ability to work on-call and overtime as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade certifications preferred.
