Description
Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician (Tech I) looking for an exciting night shift opportunity in Clarksville, TN? Join an established, growing PVC pipe manufacturer that has been producing high-quality products for plumbing, irrigation, municipal, and wastewater infrastructure! This stable, non-union company offers excellent benefits, a safety-focused, team-oriented environment, limited routine overtime, and opportunities for professional growth while working with industrial electrical systems, extrusion equipment, and mechanical machinery.
Qualifications and responsibilities for this Maintenance Technician (Tech I) position include:
- High school diploma or GED required; two years of relevant industrial maintenance experience, training, or education preferred, with a strong industrial electrical background highly desirable.
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, wiring, and electrical components; ability to measure ohms, amps, and volts and understand NEMA codes.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and pumps.
- Perform metal fabrication using electric arc welding equipment and cutting torches, along with drill presses, grinders, and band saws.
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, including bearings, shafts, pulleys, reduction and distribution gearboxes, and transmissions.
- Read and accurately use depth gauges, calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for basic machining and fabrication.
- Support safe, efficient operation of production equipment and PVC extrusion lines, follow PPE requirements, and perform additional maintenance duties as assigned.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights; willingness to train on day shift before transitioning to the night shift.
Salary: $30–$36 per hour, commensurate with experience.
