    Description

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair

    of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal operation and

    minimal downtime. This role plays a vital part in maintaining safety, quality, and

    productivity in the plant by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on

    machinery, infrastructure, and utilities.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, tools, and facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on manufacturing machinery.
    • Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and
    • schedule timely repairs.
    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
    • Support the installation, relocation, and setup of new or existing machinery and equipment.
    • Collaborate with production and safety teams to improve equipment performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
    • Monitor and respond to facility-related maintenance issues including lighting, plumbing, and general building repairs.
    • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards and regulations.
    • Order and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies as needed.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and equipment improvement initiatives.
    • Participate in on-call or emergency maintenance coverage as required.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
    • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
    • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
    • Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
    • Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming is a plus.
    • Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
    • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand/walk for extended periods.

    Work Environment:

    • Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise, machinery, moving equipment, and temperature fluctuations.
    • May require occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call duty during plant shutdowns or emergencies.
