Industrial Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Suffolk, VA
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:00 PM
Pay: $30-$35/hour, based on experience

#ZR We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic for a stable manufacturing operation in Suffolk, VA. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong maintenance professional who enjoys hands-on troubleshooting, equipment repair, and keeping production running safely and efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot and repair industrial production and material handling equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, adjustments, and equipment repairs
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment at the maintenance level, including faults, sensors, inputs/outputs, and equipment sequences
- Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, bearings, drives, pumps, cylinders, valves, and related components
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, shutdowns, and improvement projects
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend solutions to improve reliability and reduce downtime
- Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and maintenance procedures
What We're Looking For
- Strong industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Working knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment
- Ability to read schematics, diagrams, equipment manuals, and technical drawings
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance tools
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
- Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently
The position requires hands-on maintenance of industrial manufacturing equipment and the ability to support preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment reliability.
