The Restaurant Maintenance Technician supports the maintenance and repair of commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC and refrigeration systems, and restaurant interior and exterior components across assigned LFCR restaurant locations.
This role works under the guidance of the Facility Manager and senior technicians to diagnose service issues, assist with repairs, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safe, efficient, and reliable restaurant operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, hands-on, and eager to grow within a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in performing preventive maintenance on cooking equipment, HVAC systems, refrigeration units, and ice machines.
Support emergency repair efforts and troubleshoot basic mechanical and electrical issues
Help install equipment in accordance with company safety procedures
Perform basic plumbing repairs, minor carpentry work, and assist with intermediate repairs under supervision
Maintain accurate service, warranty, and work order documentation
Communicate effectively with restaurant leadership, Facilities Manager, and third-party providers
Keep company truck, tools, and work areas clean and organized
Assist in reviewing and coordinating third-party vendor work when necessary
Support 24/7 restaurant operations as needed, including occasional after-hours calls
Comply with national, state, and local regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED
Technical trade school coursework
Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn new systems and adapt to evolving restaurant technology
Professional Certifications:
Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
OSHA
Working Conditions/Travel Requirements:
Expected to work the necessary time to satisfactorily fulfill job responsibilities
Must be able to report to work on time and as required by operational/business needs
Must be able to work a full-time schedule and work outside of normal business hours when necessary and weekends and holidays
Expect to work outdoors, exposed to weather conditions, and indoors with changing climate
Ability to lift to 75 pounds
Ability to climb a ladder, work in confined space and stand for extended periods of time
Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s license
Must provide a Motor Vehicle Record that meets company standards
