Patria Church is looking for a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our campuses safe, functional, and ready for ministry. You'll handle routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep across Patria Church, United Christian Academy (UCA), and Abundant Preschool of Learning (APL), working closely with the Facilities Manager to keep every space running smoothly. If you're handy, safety-minded, and want steady work that supports a growing, mission-driven organization, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs across our church, school, and preschool facilities, including light electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting tasks
- Conduct daily walkthroughs and inspections to catch hazards, defects, and repair needs early
- Set up and reset rooms for services, school activities, and special events like VBS, SPRINTS, and graduations
- Operate hand and power tools safely, including saws, drills, sanders, and other standard maintenance equipment
- Complete work orders accurately and report facility concerns through the proper channels
- Support event setup, transitions, and teardown for staff and volunteers
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two or more years of general maintenance or repair experience preferred (commercial, school, or church facilities a plus)
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting repairs
- Comfortable using ladders, hand tools, and power tools safely, and able to lift up to 75 to 100 lbs.
- Valid California driver's license
- No faith commitment or church membership required. This is a non-ministerial role
