Maintenance Technician

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Fabricate, modify, and repair equipment components as needed.
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement lasting solutions.
- Read diagrams, measurements, and technical specifications to complete repairs accurately.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Work safely while maintaining compliance with company safety standards.
Required Skills & Experience
Fabrication & Welding
Strong fabrication and repair experience.
Proficient in:- MIG Welding
Ability to build, modify, and repair equipment and structural components.
Cutting & Shop Equipment
Experience using:
- Oxy-Acetylene Torch
- Plasma Torch
- Angle Grinder
- Band Saw
- Drill Press
Measuring & Layout
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Experience using dial calipers and precision measuring tools.
Mechanical Aptitude
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills.
- Owns personal tools and continues to build their toolbox as needed.
- Demonstrated experience repairing, building, or maintaining equipment, vehicles, machinery, or mechanical systems.
Electrical Knowledge
Working knowledge of:
- 12VDC and 24VDC systems
- 120VAC, 208VAC, 240VAC, 277VAC, and 480VAC power systems
- Single-phase and three-phase electrical systems
- Basic PLC concepts and troubleshooting
Ability to understand and explain:
- Input and output devices
- Digital vs. analog signals
- Control logic and how it affects machine operation
- The difference between fuses and circuit breakers
Pipefitting Experience
Knowledge of:
- Unions
- 90° and 45° Elbows
- Couplers
- Crosses
- Caps and Plugs
- Ball Valves
- Gate Valves
Additional pipefitting skills:
- Threading pipe
- Understanding the difference between taps and dies
What We're Looking For
- Industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Candidates who can demonstrate projects they have fabricated, repaired, or built.
- Ability to discuss past maintenance challenges and successful repairs.
- Portfolio photos of personal or professional fabrication projects are a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
