    The Maintenance Technician performs comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and general facility maintenance across both interior and exterior environments. This role ensures optimal operational reliability, facility safety, and equipment performance while supporting critical infrastructure and emergency operations.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase electrical systems, applying fundamental concepts such as Ohm's Law.

    • Perform routine maintenance and monitoring of generator operations.

    • Ensure strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and NFPA 70E Electrical Safe Work Practices.

    • Operate, monitor, and maintain HVAC units and control systems, including air handlers, fans, blowers, chillers, dehumidification equipment, dampers, and ductwork.

    • Install, repair, and service plumbing and piping systems made of steel, PVC, and copper, as well as drains, sump pumps, and potable water systems.

    • Perform structural and facility repairs, including general carpentry, drywall repair, concrete finishing, and door/hardware adjustments.

    • Execute interior and exterior painting using both spray and brush techniques.

    • Conduct routine inspection and testing of facility alarm and security systems.

    • Safely operate common hand/power tools, electronic testing equipment, and heavy machinery, including platform lifts, forklifts, telescoping lifts, dump trucks, and fire engines.

    • Use basic Windows software and Microsoft Office applications for daily tracking and communication.

    • Deliver strong customer service when interacting with internal staff, vendors, and external teams.

    • Perform additional facility maintenance duties as assigned by management.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or technical degree in Industrial Technology or a trade discipline preferred.

    • At least three years of hands-on work experience in industrial, commercial, or facility maintenance.

    • PADEP Deep Mine Safety Certified Mine Foreman.

    • First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

    • Valid driver's license.

    • Basic proficiency with computers, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office software.

    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with a strong team-oriented mindset.

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.

    • Ability to lift, move, push, and pull equipment, cases, or metal containers in excess of 30 to 40 lbs.

    • Physical ability to handle frequent walking, bending, standing, and working in both interior and exterior environments.

    • Willingness to work shift schedules, overtime as required, and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.
