Service Technician (Maintenance Technician) - IMT Pleasant Hill | Pleasant Hill, CA

Do you like solving problems, working with your hands, and seeing the results of your work every day? IMT Residential is looking for a skilled Service Technician to join the team at IMT Pleasant Hill, a 252-unit community in the heart of the East Bay in Pleasant Hill. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same and the residents you help will remember your name.

The schedule for this role is Tuesday - Saturday, from 9am to 6pm with an on-call rotation of two weeks per month.

• Pay - $26.00 - $29.00/hr. depending upon skills and experience related to the role

Position Details

• Weekends mostly free. You'll work Tuesday through Saturday, 9am-6pm, so Sundays and Mondays are yours.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and fix a wide variety of issues across apartment homes, common areas, and exteriors, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pools
• Get apartments move-in ready so new residents walk into a home that feels fresh and cared for
• Keep the grounds looking sharp so residents and visitors get a great first impression
• Be the friendly, reliable face residents are glad to see when something needs fixing
• Pitch in on special projects with the Service Manager and Community Manager

What we're looking for

• Maintenance experience in apartments, hotels, or a similar setting
• Hands-on skills in some or all of these: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, appliances, and pools (if you're strong in a few areas and eager to learn the rest, we want to hear from you)
• A positive attitude and pride in doing the job right
• Strong communication skills and a genuine interest in helping people
• Comfort learning simple tech tools like Outlook and SuiteSpot (we'll show you the ropes)
• Availability to share the on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
• A valid driver's license

Bonus points for: EPA Type II or Universal certification and/or CPO certification (or interest in getting them)
