Job Details
Provide electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic repair and maintenance support for die cast machines and machine shop operations, including some fabrication work.
What you'll do
Repair and maintain electrical, electronic, mechanical and hydraulic systems on die cast machines, including preventive and predictive maintenance
Operate machine shop equipment, lathes, drill presses, saws, hand tools, meters, gauges and micrometers
Program PLCs for die cast and trim press operations, and troubleshoot electronic, electrical and mechanical issues
Support die maintenance and machine shop work areas
Communicate with supervisors and shift leaders to keep ongoing projects and repairs moving
Follow all safety procedures and OSHA requirements
What we're looking for
High school diploma or GED, plus 2 to 4 years of related experience
Trade school certificate or equivalent work experience qualifying for journeyman status in electrical, electronic or mechanical fields
Must pass BMCT testing
Makino experience and die casting industry background preferred
Strong blueprint and schematic reading, comfortable with diagnostic and test equipment
Comfortable in a foundry environment, heat, noise and physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
