Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianDepartment: MaintenanceReports To: Maintenance ManagerFLSA Status: Non-ExemptSUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment. Performs related duties as assigned.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Assists in general maintenance and preventative maintenance of all facility needs to include electrical, mechanical, machine and plumbing.Performs any general maintenance activities as requested by the Maintenance Manager.Completes special projects as requested by management.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Identifying any safety issues, reporting to maintenance manager, and the correction of those issuesAssist in development and execution of scheduled building and machine maintenanceBecause of the changing nature of our business, this job description will inevitably change. The employee will, from time to time, be required to undertake other activities of a similar nature that fall within his/her capabilities as directed by management.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Basic knowledge of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical wiringMaintenance of hand tools and gas-powered equipment.Effectively use a variety of hand and power tools.Able to perform a variety of physical labor including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time.Possess a valid driver's license.WORKING CONDITIONS:Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, including standing on a cement floor for extended periods of time. May require lifting of up to 50 pounds.
