Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations by performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on blown film extrusion equipment and related systems. This role is critical to minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and ensuring safe, efficient production.

Key Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on extrusion lines, auxiliary equipment, and facility systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels
Diagnose and repair mechanical issues such as gearboxes, rollers, bearings, pneumatics, and hydraulics
Maintain and service blown film extrusion equipment, including die heads, air rings, winders, and cooling systems
Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime
Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
Assist with installation, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and PM records
Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and food-grade manufacturing standards (HACCP environment)
Collaborate with production and quality teams to optimize equipment performance

Qualifications

2+ years of maintenance experience in plastics, blown film, packaging, or manufacturing environments
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (motors, VFDs, control systems)
Solid mechanical troubleshooting experience (hydraulics, pneumatics, rotating equipment)
Experience with preventative maintenance programs
Familiarity with extrusion or blown film processes preferred
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment
Basic PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus

Preferred Experience

Blown film extrusion or flexible packaging manufacturing
Food-grade manufacturing (GMP / HACCP)
Multi-layer film or co-extrusion processes
High-speed production equipment
