    Mechanical Maintenance Technician

    Schedule: 2-2-3 rotating schedule, 12-hour shifts
    Weekend Schedule: Every other weekend
    Employment Type: Full-Time

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a skilled and dependable Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving production equipment and facility systems to support safe and efficient operations.

    The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background, hands-on troubleshooting experience, and a basic understanding of electrical systems. This role requires someone who can work independently, respond effectively to equipment issues, and prioritize safety and equipment reliability.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment.

    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and other industrial machinery.

    • Diagnose equipment failures and identify the root cause of mechanical problems.

    • Perform equipment adjustments, alignments, lubrication, and component replacement.

    • Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring tools, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.

    • Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including identifying faulty components, checking connections, and using a multimeter.

    • Assist with troubleshooting motors, sensors, switches, solenoids, and other basic electrical components.

    • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and basic electrical schematics.

    • Complete preventive maintenance tasks according to established schedules.

    • Respond promptly to production equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime.

    • Communicate equipment issues and completed repairs to the maintenance team and operations.

    • Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs and parts used.

    • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and lockout/tagout procedures.

    • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

    • Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.

    • Work closely with production and other maintenance personnel to improve equipment reliability.
