    Highlights

    Will assist in performing maintenance repair in areas such as electrical, mechanical and plumbing on all building equipment and systems; observes equipment operation and notifies supervisor of maintenance needs; performs preventative maintenance (PM) on all equipment and systems; maintains repair history in computerized PM program; obtains materials, installs light fixtures, electrical power and control wiring for building projects to meet electrical codes; troubleshoots electrical problems and assists in the repair of computer (HVAC) room equipment, both power loss and cooling, with contractors; participates and performs projects relative to the security and safety of the building, grounds and parking lot. The Maintenance Technician works as a team member in assisting the Lead Maintenance Technician in carrying out the work of the unit for providing building services, on-going maintenance of building, equipment and grounds using electrical and computerized technical equipment.

    Maintenance Technician, (Non-exempt), Reports to Lead Maintenance Technician

    The Maintenance Technician works as a team member in assisting the Lead Maintenance Technician in carrying out the work of the unit for providing building services, on-going maintenance of building, equipment and grounds using electrical and computerized technical equipment.

    Will assist in performing maintenance repair in areas such as electrical, mechanical and plumbing on all building equipment and systems; observes equipment operation and notifies supervisor of maintenance needs; performs preventative maintenance (PM) on all equipment and systems; maintains repair history in computerized PM program; obtains materials, installs light fixtures, electrical power and control wiring for building projects to meet electrical codes; troubleshoots electrical problems and assists in the repair of computer (HVAC) room equipment, both power loss and cooling, with contractors; participates and performs projects relative to the security and safety of the building, grounds and parking lot.

    The successful candidate must have excellent record keeping, time management, and internal and external communication skills.

    Education / Experience

    • Vocational and/or technical school or equivalency.
    • Three to five years of related experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical and plumbing maintenance.
