We are currently seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for industrial machinery. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working with a diverse range of heavy machinery. You will be working as part of a dynamic team in the fast-paced Manufacturing industry where you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing our production equipment. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal operation.
2. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments to machinery.
3. Perform a variety of mechanical repair tasks such as lubrication, welding, cutting, etc.
4. Use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties.
5. Ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures and protocols.
6. Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize maintenance and repair processes.
7. Provide recommendations for equipment upgrades or replacements when necessary.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician for heavy machinery, ideally in a manufacturing, automotive, or construction setting.
2. Experience with skills such as welding, cutting, using hand tools, performing mechanical repairs on heavy machinery, and applied math for shop work.
3. Exceptional problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
4. Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects.
5. Proficiency in maintaining and repairing various types of machinery and equipment.
6. Excellent understanding of safety regulations and procedures concerning heavy equipment operation.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certification, license, or college degree will be an added advantage.
