    Maintenance Technician

    Location: McElhattan, PA 

    Pay: $21.00 – $23.00 per hour 

    Shift: 12‑hour schedule | 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM

    Role Overview

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and adjusting mechanical equipment, machinery, and components in a fast‑paced production environment. This position is ideal for candidates with 1–2 years of mechanical experience who are looking to grow their skills in industrial maintenance.

    Principal Accountabilities & Responsibilities

    • Safety compliance — Follow all safety rules and use proper PPE at all times.
    • Regulatory adherence — Comply with GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
    • Mechanical repairs — Repair mechanical components on production equipment as required.
    • Troubleshooting — Diagnose mechanical and operational issues and perform corrective actions.
    • Machine operation — Operate machinery to test and verify repairs.
    • Changeovers & setups — Conduct or assist with equipment changeovers and setups.
    • Preventive maintenance — Perform PM checks, inspections, and report findings to leadership.
    • PM improvement — Recommend updates to preventive maintenance requirements and intervals.
    • Team collaboration — Share knowledge, assist with training, and support team members.
    • Training participation — Attend company‑provided training seminars as applicable.
    • Documentation — Complete all required paperwork accurately and on time.
    • General duties — Maintain a clean work area and perform additional tasks as directed.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • High School diploma or equivalent (Required)
    • 1–2 years of mechanical experience (ideal for this role)
    • Three years of industrial experience or equivalent (Preferred)
    • Technical or vocational training in mechanics (Preferred)

    Technical Skills & Abilities

    • Advanced mechanical knowledge
    • Pneumatics & hydraulics — Standard working knowledge
    • Quality & production understanding — Specifications, efficiency, scrap, and production metrics
    • Hand & power tools — Ability to operate safely and effectively
    • Measuring tools — Micrometers, vernier calipers, and related instruments
    • Equipment operation — Ability to run production equipment as needed
    • Teamwork — Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment
