is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support industrial water plant operations in the Marcus Hook, PA 19061 area!
Contract to Hire role
This role focuses on hands-on preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and chemical process support across customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on valves, blowers, ejectors, air compressors, process pumps, and instrumentation.
Water Chemistry & Operations: Work with analytical instrumentation, calibrated tools, and aggressive chemicals (acids and bases) following strict environmental and safety standards.
Documentation & Client Relations: Track maintenance tasks, utilize word processing and spreadsheets, and coordinate with project teams and client personnel.
Requirements & Qualifications
Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with mechanical and basic electrical troubleshooting; ability to use standard hand/calibrated tools.
Core Competencies: Strong attention to detail, basic water chemistry knowledge, solid communication skills, and self-motivation.
Software: Basic computer proficiency (spreadsheets, word processing, basic databases).
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Industrial Setting: Primarily outdoor industrial environment around machinery, electrical panels, and chemical processes.
Physical Agility: Regular reaching (above/below shoulder height), standing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and navigating cramped spaces or ladders.
Lifting: Regularly lift up to 30 lbs; frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
