Job description:We are searching for experienced Maintenance Technicians in Reidsville, Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Asheboro, and Kernersville, NC for our Direct Hire Positions!Pay: $24/hr to $32/hr DOE!Shifts: Day and Night shift options!Summary: Responsible for repairing and adjusting equipment as needed to ensure it operates according to manufacturer’s specifications and production requirements. Primary Tasks/Responsibilities:Services, repairs, adjusts and test various machinery, devices, and equipment related to the manufacturing process.Ability to learn production equipment processes and operations to aid in machine troubleshooting and operation support.Perform and document preventative maintenance tasks as necessary.Timely, effective troubleshooting.Demonstrate knowledge of minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting on motors, VFDs, PLCs, high and low voltage applications.Safely work inside electrical panels and understand the function of all components inside.Read and understand wiring schematics and machine manuals.Troubleshoot safety switches and safety circuitry.Welding, use of acetylene torch.Use of pneumatic controls.Perform work on hydraulic equipment.Perform regular maintenance on gear boxes and conveyors.Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.Adhere to all safety and security policies and procedures.Follow all safety and quality system requirements by committing to meet all pertinent regulatory, customer, and SQF requirements. Qualifications/Knowledge:High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred5 years experience as maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment required.5+ years maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred; automated equipment experience a plusSkilled in installing and maintaining pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, chains, gearboxes, bushings, etc.Proficient with automation, production, and computer systemsStrong attention to detailClear communicator with technicians, operators, managers, and plant leadershipAble to work independently or in teams; communicates effectively via radio, phone, and in person Other Skills and relevant considerations:Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.Must be able to read, write, perform basic mathematical calculations, and accurately record data required.Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and varying shifts, as required.Must be able to frequently stand, walk, kneel, reach, climb, pull, and bend with full range of body motion. Must be able to work independently and/or on a team in a fast-paced environment.Must be able to work in a wet and/or humid environment. Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals will occur.
