Maintenance Technician/Manager - Shelby Township, Michigan
90-day potential Contract-to-Hire position
Day Shift - Pay up to $33.00 per (potentionaly higher for the ideal candidate)
Our customer is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician/Manager to keep their CNC machines and shop equipment running at their best. You'll own preventative maintenance, diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software issues, and work closely with setup personnel and operations to minimize downtime.
Key Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician/Manager:- Inspect, clean, lubricate, and adjust CNC machines so they run efficiently and accurately
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and software-related problems
- Schedule and perform preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and repair costs
- Keep accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used
- Order and stock machine parts to minimize downtime
- Partner with operators and CNC setup personnel to identify and solve machine issues
- Troubleshoot and maintain the forklift and overhead crane
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols, includuing LOTO
Qualifications of the Maintenance Technician/Manager:- Associate degree or technical certification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field
- Maintenance and repair experience on CNC lathes, mills, grinders, hydraulic broaches, and saws
- Familiarity with CNC controls such as Fanuc and Siemens
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols
- Experience maintaining overhead cranes, forklifts, and other shop equipment high preferred
