    Maintenance Technician (Direct Hire) – 3rd Shift
    Location: Madison, NC
    Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire (No Temp Assignment)

    Job Overview

    We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to support plant operations in Madison, NC. This is a direct hire opportunity working a 12-hour 3rd shift on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule (6:45 PM – 7:00 AM).

    The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across a variety of industrial systems.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and project work orders
    • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
    • Perform breakdown maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
    • Work with PLCs and automated systems
    • Communicate effectively with team members across departments
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of Lockout/Tagout (LO/TO)
    • Assist in other maintenance or production roles as needed
    Equipment & Technical Skills
    • Safe use of welders, torches, saws, cutting tools, and hand tools
    • Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
    • Ability to use a computer for maintenance tracking and job functions
    • Understanding of plant equipment operations and systems
    Requirements
    • Experience in industrial maintenance or manufacturing environment
    • Ability to read and complete maintenance work orders
    • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC systems
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Valid North Carolina driver’s license
    • Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
    • Ability to learn and support multiple roles across the plant
    Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
    • Frequent bending, stooping, and twisting
    • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
    • Required to wear PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots
    Work Schedule
    • 3rd Shift: 6:45 PM – 7:00 AM
    • 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
    • Overtime may be required based on production needs
